This was so good. I have the pleasure of having known Tony since about 2003. When we met he was a freelance photographer. Though I’ve largely known about the things he talks about in this podcast, hearing him share it in this format was a wonderful experience.

I hear in his voice a level of life confidence and passionate drive deeper than any I’ve encountered in before. This is an extraordinary individual and I’m inspired to look at the difficulties in my life in light of what Tony had endured. I’m not saying I haven’t been through some extremely difficult life challenges, but his are unique to him in a way that challenged him. I learned a lot from hearing where he’s at now.

I love his comments at the end about looking at yourself when you were 10. I won’t spoil what he said for those who haven’t heard it yet, but that hit me in the perfect spot at the perfect time.

By the way, I did not expect to hear your guest, Tony, to be the only one talking. I kept waiting for you to ask him a question now and again to guide the conversation direction, but I really liked hearing the guest being the only one to speak. That was great! I’m gonna follow you now and subscribe to your substack!

Thanks, Joey. I appreciate your comments and your feedback. I didn't know what to expect from Tony, other than I knew it would be interesting. But he totally blew me away with this and I didn't want to stomp in when his story was so powerful.
